Despite that appeal being still underway, eBay was ordered by the Federal Court of Canada to release the information immediately. eBay strenuously objected to this order, and announced that they would launch a second appeal and this time it would be going to the Supreme Court of Canada. To avoid being forced to release our members the information before the first appeal has been decided.

eBay was pleased to report that they have since reached an understanding with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) such that they no longer need to turn over the PowerSeller records for the years 2004 and 2005 until the original appeal has been heard.
