Move over Canada 411 and other local 411 services. Goog-411 is on the road making new trails. Don’t know where to find the closest pizza place in your city? Do you have no access to a computer or a phone book? Well google 411 can help, Canada is the only other country other then the usa to get the goog411 service. So how do you access it. Well its not like calling 411 on your local mobile phone or land line. You have to call 1-800-GOOG-411 and answer a few questions and then wait for your answer.

It will ask for the your city and province, then ask you what you are searching for. Then you would answer stuff like sports bar, pizza, fish and chips etc. You can then choose if you want to hear the number or be connected directly to the business or receive a text message with the details of the restaurant. There is also a option to have the google map sent to your phone. This will work really nice for GPS phones like the nokia N95, and other phones with google map apps. Blackberry, iphone and whatever else has a decent web browser.

So what are you waiting for, Give it a try! I’m guessing to be listed in this database you may have to get your business listed in google local so make sure you are. If not you may be leaving business on the table. I could see in the future google selling ad spots in this service. For example if someone is paying for the leads their pizza place would get listed first.
